This is one of the games, for the first 30 minutes at least, where focusing on the performance is important. We were consistently playing in exactly the way we intend too.
We managed to enter the final third 24 times in the first 30 minutes, but unfortunately, we didn’t manage to turn it into a goal.
Our biggest challenge to overcome at the moment is responding to set backs. Both our highest and lowest level can be seen across this game. That’s something we really need to work together towards removing.
It’s quite natural when you merge a lot of people together in a short time, that relationships, both socially and tactically take time to merge. Despite a loss against a team we felt we should have outscored, I still see a lot of progression in the team.
